Why Tile Installations Fail?

There are several factors...

• Not enough back butter

• Smearing techniques

• Tile might have dust on the back

In order to fix the example below...

• The tile needed to be back buttered with thin set

• Then combed in the same direction as the thin set in the floor

• So that when the tile is married with the thin set on the floor the ridges collapse onto each other
